Wolf Moon Reflections
Under this Cancer Full Moon, the Wolf Moon
I found myself meeting an old pattern very clearly.
Cancer speaks of home, family, emotional memory, and the deep imprints we carry from where and how we grew up. What came up for me wasn’t just about the present moment, but about something older that still lives quietly in the body.
I noticed how easily I became triggered when structure or schedules were introduced under this Full Moon, even when they were sensible, supportive, and offered with care.
In my system, structure felt like restriction. It felt like someone else taking up space where my freedom should be. My body responded before my mind could make sense of it.
I had to physically step outside, walk with our dog, breathe fresh air, move and let the wisdom come through the body rather than the story.
What became clear was this: the resistance wasn’t about 'the now'. It was an old imprint ,a younger part of me remembering a time when being told what to do meant pressure, expectation ,judgement, and a loss of agency. Somewhere along the way, structure became associated with not being good enough, with being controlled, with having my freedom taken away.
But that story is no longer true.
The Wolf Moon teaches us about belonging ,not the kind that asks us to give ourselves up, but the kind that invites us into relationship. Wolves live by structure and instinct. There is rhythm, responsibility, and choice. No one wolf survives alone, yet no wolf is diminished by the pack.
This Full Moon in Cancer asks:
What emotional patterns from our past are still shaping how we relate today? Now this is easily triggered around a period that family and gatherings around the festive season take place. Where some of our old active stories can become apparent.
And the Capricorn Sun reminds us that structure itself is not the enemy ,it can be a vessel that holds something meaningful.
The deeper invitation I felt was this:
To release the old story that says “If we do this together, I lose myself.”
And to step into a new way of relating where collaboration doesn’t mean confinement it means co-creation.
The First Clan Mother, Talks With Relations, carries the teaching that everything is connected that how we speak, respond, resist, or withdraw shapes the web we are part of. When we hold onto old stories, we unknowingly create separation even though what we truly long for is connection.
This moon invites us to notice where we are still reacting from the past rather than responding from the present.
And to gently loosen the grip of those beliefs not by force, but by awareness.
Because to build something together a family, a community, a life ,a business we sometimes need to release the old ways we learned to protect ourselves, so we can meet each other where we actually are.
If ever you wish to learn rituals or practises to release and work with some of these old stories ,to learn how to come in right relationship with your self and those connected to these stories please do not hesitate to connect.
May you have a brilliant 2026
